Rockville Institute and the Universities at Shady Grove Partner for Public Seminar Series
(12/20/2007)

The Rockville Institute for the Advancement of Social Science and
the Universities at Shady Grove (USG) are cosponsoring the Contemporary Social Issues Seminar Series, a seminar series that seeks to inform and foster public conversations about important social issues facing society today. A topic of social interest will be presented each month:

Each session will be on USG's campus at the Camille Kendall Academic Center, Building III, Room 3241, 9636 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville, Maryland, at 4:30 p.m. All are invited to attend.

The goal of the series is to raise awareness of important social issues and provide ideas for future exploration and discussion in the community. Framed by findings from social science research, this series will stimulate an exchange of ideas among practitioners, researchers, policymakers, students, and the public at large.

USG collaborates with its partner institutions to offer more than 50 of the most popular upper-level undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs on a full- and part-time basis.

The Rockville Institute is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to advancing the social sciences by performing research and disseminating research findings to the public.
